Hospitals, aged care facilities and residential disability facilities must use the COVID SAfe Check-In or other approved contact tracing system. These venues must have their unique QR code printed and displayed in a prominent location at all entrances.

COVID SAfe Check-In is not required for any other businesses.

When people arrive at a hospital, aged care facility, disability facility, or prison, they can check in by scanning the QR code using their smart phone through the mySAGOV app.

A paper recording log template and an individual check-in form should be made available as a back-up for people who don’t have a smart phone.
